Day three of my gratitude journal
1/ I am thankful for my house and the area it is in. A co-worker was getting evacuated yesterday due to the river rising. So many people are affected by the flooding and even those that aren't in an area for flooding are getting water in their basements from seepage form the ground being so wet.
2/ I am thankful that the tree out front bushed out just as I had hoped and planned it would. Cowboy didn't believe me that it would. Just like he doesn't seem to believe half of what I say.
3/ I am thankful for kidlets efforts to tidy her room yesterday. It makes it easier for me to clean it up now during July
4/I am thankful for my job it helps to pay the bills
5/I am thankful that I have a yard to mow after work today

A lot of the surrounding areas are flooded now. It's crazy that we are out here in the middle of nowhere and the largest body of water is the river that flows trough the ville. But thats not even what flooded! It's the little creeks that feed into the river. It really is a little on this side of crazy!
So here's my gratitude journal for today.
1/ I am thankful I have not been affected by the floods and have a safe dry house to live in.
2/ I am thankful that kidlet is home for the week
3/I am thankful that Karma can and will bite people in the butt
4/ I am thankful I got paid yesterday and could pay my bills
5/I am thankful that I had a chance at winning the jackpot last week and have another chance this week

So a friend recently suggested starting a gratitude journal and talked about not just getting a new attitude but getting some gratitude in our lives. Thinking about it we do have a tendency to focus more on the negatives and less on the positives. We figure that by focussing our efforts on the positive we will feel better and have a better outlook on life. It's hard to do when you are surrounded by disgruntled negative people all day but I am going to give it a real shot and try to find 5 things each day that I am thankful for.
1/ This morning I am thankful for RAID Spider Killer! I was trying to tidy up my laundry room ( it looked like the dryer had thrown up all over the floor!) and lo and behold I found a HUGE Spider in amongst the clothes. I sprayed the clothes that he (why are spiders always boys yet in the movies they are always girls) was hanging out in and I will just throw them in the washer in 10 minutes after the Spider Killer has done it's work.
2/ I am thankful for the rain that is coming down. Even though it is an insane amount of rain it is replenishing the ground water and it means I don't have to water my lawn and spend money on a large water bill.
3/ I am thankful for leftover pizza. It means I had something to eat for breakfast without too much thought or having to make anything.
4/ I am thankful for the ability to play the lotto max and win $50 million tonight to split with my 3 co-workers so that I can buy cowboy his ranch and my co-workers can improve their lives. For myself it would give me the peace of mind that our house would be paid for, I could help out mum and dad with their home reno's and I could spend more time with kidlet and puppers.
5/I am thankful that I woke up this morning and have a new day to enjoy and to make into whatever I want it to be.
On that note I think it is time for me to shower and get dressed into clothes for the day instead of jammies! lol!

So Angry man today was not angry! Has he gotten over his mms (mens monthly snapout)? Do we have three weeks until Angry man returns? Maybe we should plot it on a calendar with little check marks to see what kind of cycle he is on. Then we will know for future reference! LOL
I am so happy today it rained and not the few drops that we have been getting over the past week here in the ville but good solid downpur rain. Rain that will soak my garden and make my plants grow nice and strong YAY! So happy :)
I think thats all I got for tonight. Its almost bed time and there is a whole lot a stuff to do tomorrow so off to bed with me!

So seeing how no-one but me ever seems to read my blog that means I can freely complain about snap show sally that seems to be increasing his temper tantrums day by day. Who knew you could be that angry and for that long. Honestly yesterday dweeb and I were watching and waiting for his head to explode. It wouldn't have shocked us at all. It would be just like it the cartoons. Steam would come out of his ears and the top of his head would just blow off!
On another note I am bored. So terribly terribly bored. My job I can do in my sleep and is irritating me to no end ( and for reasons as posted above!).I am sick of facebook too. I stopped playing the games. They were sucking the life out of me and really who has that much time to worry about your crops and animals and fish. I was getting less and less sleep just so that some virtual fish wouldn't die because I hadn't fed it in the 8 hours that I was sleeping, eating, or having a life! No wonder some of these guys playing video games don't have any real friends or girlfriends. They don't have time! Not when you have monsters to slay and people to feed and clothe and quests to attend to. Who has time to have a life after all of that!
Great now the dog is grumpy! Better go see what she's yelling about
Catch you later!

So last night I put in my garden...well most of it. I still have potatoes to plant and the rest of the carrots to put in but otherwise it is looking quite lovely in there. I definitely slept better last night after all of that digging and raking and planting. I still have so much I want to get done in the yard but it will take time out there to get it done.
At the same time I am looking for a new job. I'm tired of the schedule I am on with split days off and being made to feel guilty for taking any time off at all. THe only problem with lookign for a job right now is that I am gone for the whole month of August and thats not really constructive when you are looking for a new job. Maybe I'll wait until I get back from vacation to look for soemthing new. I'm sure there is something out there for me.
The other something I have on the go is organising and packing up the house as we are planning a move next year. Whether that comes about or not remains to be seen but I am planning toward it anyway and it can't hurt to have the house more organised.
So many things to be done but its just the summer and I'm trying to take time to enjoy it whilst I drive myself insane with all of my planning and doing.
