Contemplating

So many things are going right yet so many things are not quite going the way they should. Still though the chaos does not yet abound so much that insanity  ensues throughout the waking hours. It is a thin stand that we are hanging onto but that thin strand is currently holding a lot of weight ansd showing no signs of fraying or breakage,.The thin strand may yet get us through this patch of insanity and may unravel to produce meaning and enlightenment to those of us hanging here with all our strength,to prevent the fall into the deep dark abyss of unknowing
Is it better to know with certainty what lies ahead or is it better to leap headlong into life and deal with the dung piles as well as the blissful meadow walks? Can it be possible that harmony is found by walking a purposeful path through those blissful meadows in dung caked boots?

The moon is high in the sky and the alcohol warms my bones but the chill is still in the air and makes someone shiver. The storm is here but also the storm is breaking.....I can't wait to see the beautiful dawn........

So last night Kidlet went swimming. I dropped her off and SH picked her up. I got a call afterwards. There was no supervision there you know she was swimming by herself?
I'm pretty sure there was a group of them swimming but SH never noticed but that's irrelevant in the light of no supervision. Wasn't there life guards on duty?  (This is a community pool just so you know not just someones backyard)
Well yeah there was life guards but there was no supervision!

So just to clarify here. According to SH Life guards at the pool does not equal supervision. Interesting concept maybe for 5-6 year olds but an almost 12 year old that loves to swim and is there with friends. I'm sorry SH but I think Life Guards DO equal supervision.

There are few situations where Kidlet can go without a parent hovering nearby and this is one of those. She needs to find her independence within boundaries. She is learning or maybe knows that I will say yes to a lot of thing that are acceptable. However when I say no there is a good reason that I say no and we talk about it and she accepts it and maybe learns from it. Sometimes the accepting comes after fighting about it and crying, begging, pleading... you know the norm! LOL but if it is a firm NO with no compromise then that's it.

Who knows maybe I am a bad parent but I am doing the best I can and trying to raise Kidlet to learn whats acceptable and if thats not good enough then tough we'll have to disagree!

catch you later, gator!

So kidlet and cowboy have been gone 3 days now and I am currently sitting here trying to type with puppers on my lap, Puppers is a border collie X and a huge suck Cowboy complains that I spoil her and she really is a little big to be a lap dog but she  is just like a baby! LOL It bothers Cowboy a little too that sometimes I can "understand" what puppers whats or needs but after raising a child with Spd (that we were told was adhd) you learn to read body language and watch for regular "signs". Its really not that hard lol

Now if I could just figure out kidlet so easily.

So today at the JOB our newbie dishwasher decided he didn't like being told to suck it up and quit his whining so he quit. Oh yeah that really showed us  we're so upset you left. Now we don't get to listen to you whining for your entire shift about how you hate dishes and dish washing....but you were hired as a dishwasher hmmmm...see the problem here!

Switching topics again! LOL I LOVE LOVE LOVE the blower/vac my parents bought me as a Christmas present (it's an early one) I was outside blowing the vacuuming the leaves on the front lawn tonight and after an hour the lawn was looking good!!!! So much easier than raking, and saved my back too. There's not enough alfalfa around to help with that back pain. I must remember to take that tonight before bed. I forgot the other night and it was damp and cold. I had to swing around in bed and stand straight up instead of rolling over. At least with alfalfa I don't get an upset stomach  (too much ibuprofen) or fall asleep (Tylenol). The boss is taking alfalfa for his "chef's elbow" (think tennis elbow but we don't play tennis lol it's from too much chopping) and he's having great results too.....when he remembers to take it!  Half-way throughout the day he'll say "man my elbow is hurting today" and when I ask if he took he alfalfa he says oh no maybe that's why it hurts! LOL you think lol.

Well I am thinking it is time to hit the hay I need too shower first Its such a lovely smell from work. Grease and sweat mmm yum NOT lol

Have a good one we will catch up with you all later!

Has anyone seen my motivation?
Seriously! Anyone?
I went to bed last night full of plans and a wonderful self-imposed to-do list. This morning I slept late, got side-tracked by crackbook, called my mum......got sidetracked looking for a product named Dycem. I did however manage to wash some towels and clean the bathroom ( I love my Shaklee cleaners they work awesome and don't kill me with chemical smell) then I was slightly motivated! But it was a fleeting visit.
By the time I had taken the sheets off the bed and put them in the washer I decided I needed a break. Yup 20 mins of "hard" work and I needed a break. So I had a cuppa and read the news which made my eyes feel tired so I needed to rest them. I'm not really sure how long I napped for but it was definitely longer than an hour and longer than 2 but not sure if I managed the three hour mark!
In the interests of making myself another cuppa and needing to do something whilst waiting for the kettle to boil, I unloaded the dishwasher and reloaded it. JOY OH JOY I can now see countertops!
It's a good thing it's just me and puppers here today.

So, if anyone has seen my motivation can you please send it home. There is a large to-do list here at home waiting for it to show up!

Think it's almost bedtime!

So Kidlet was diagnosed years ago with ADHD which in turn lead to her being drugged during school time and swinging wildly off the wall on non-school days. Now kidlet is dianosed with SPD (sensory processing disorder) which makes way more sense and fit Kidlet like a glove. It explains a lot of stuff and why the meds didn't always seems to work. Side note - if kidlet ever tries illicit drugs will they have any effect after the intense adhd drugs didn't?? hmmm

So now we got a correct diagnosis and kidlet started junior high. Seemed awesome at first. After a few anxious first days kidlet seemed to settle in and be hanging on (albeit for dear life but kidlet was hanging on) or so we thought. Turns out kidlets thrashing about in the kiddie pool thinking she's drowning with no-one to take her hand and tell her she can stand up and be ok.

So now 6 weeks ( YES 6 WEEKS) into the school year the school decided to finally call and say ummm think we have a problem....really no S***. Kidlet has done no work so far this year. The homework she has done here at home has been snatched up by aliens on the way to school (either that or I hallucinated doing the home work with here - strange but there are better things to hallucinate about :) ) because the homework never got to the teachers and we can't find it anywhere!

Now we are waiting for an assessment to be done to see if we can get her an aide for the classroom to keep her on track and help her keep track of where the heck her paper are, along with gym clothing, lunch, shoes.......the list goes on. If you thought kids bedrooms get messy you should she here locker! If you've ever seen a picture of a tornado ripping through the bank building with papers everywhere, it closely resembles kidlet's locker. She'd be really good at Jenga because the stacking in there defies gravity!

I'm thinking i will be making a pain of myself with the school, and the board to get this assessment asap instead of "soon" Kidlet needs the help now.
There are lots of failings one this one but that's a story for another day

Take care and count your blessings.....I'm going to wake mine so she can get ready for her day :)
