Good morning!
Well it's wednesday half way through the week and we're all still in good moods! I'm shamelessly stealing memes from Issabella who I really need to add a link to. I'm going to be atempting some reno's round here soon so if you show up one day and The Villes looking a bit different you've had advance warning and no you have not been redirected to wonkyville!
I thought I had lost the Child this morning but she slept on a chair in the living room. She's having a good dream though because she is muttering to herself and laughing in her sleep! Taking of sleep here tuesday twosome!
Sleep:
1. Side of the bed: Left or Right? Right now I've got my bed to myself so I'm smack dab in the middle
2. Sleep with or without covers? Have to have some sort of cover on even if it's 50 billion degrees outside gotta have a cover over my middle
3. Sleep with or without night light? I prefer it to be dark but the child needs a light on and being we're in a basement suite I can see her light all night
4. Deep or light sleeper? Mostly a deep sleeper but still hear stuff if I need to (damn mommy hearing)
5. More annoying to be awoken by: alarm or phone call? Now this one depends...Alarm if the radio stations decides they need to wake you up with some hip hop rock tune at 6 am....I don't use the buzzer now THAT is annoying....and with the phone it depends who's on the other end and whether or not I want to talk to them!

TRIGGER::::: I waited..... for a phone call last night night and it came in bang on time. Was a good conversation albeit a little short but the weather is not so good here in the Ville at the mo so they needed to concentrate on driving.
Which led me to thinking about someone which led to this one...
What's On your shopping list Right Now?
Choc chips I need to bake some cookies tonight as a surprise for someone. I love spoiling people and watching their faces when you surprise them with little things like that. It's the little things in life that make the world go round. A simple Thank you, a smile, a pat on the back or a wave as you pass. Simple little things that make a person feel appreciated and loved. So I'm baking cookies to get that smile to know they appreciate that I thought of them and to know I care enough to make the effort to do that for them.
Wow did that ever work out good! Well the sky here is a lovely shade of brown and the trees are 'bout ready to snap in half and I gotta get up and go to work. I'm gonna have to carry the child into the school building this morning or she's gonna get blown away!
Mary poppins should be showing up any second! heehee

Woohoo It's monday/ It's sunny and the mosquitos are biting!
Today has been an absolute beautiful day here in the ville. I woke up to a sore back and throat and feeling like I had been hit by a truck. That lasted until the end of breakfast and then I was well enough to crank my music and clean my house. Okay well I didn't get to the cleaning part but did get to the tidying part.
So over the past week at work we came up with another new word. we know have:
Nunna : abbrv. nunna your business
Chobb : An unspecified unit of measure see also chibb
Chibb : A smaller chobb
Chibby chobb: A mid sized chibb and/or chobb
Yes we are slowly starting to make sense only to ourselves and eventually shall be shunned by all of society and locked into the restaurant for all of eternity!
I've been bitten today by more mosquitos than I care to believe exist in this world and was told by the cowboy that is why I should be wearing jeans and long sleeves. It's too freakin' hot outside I just need to go buy some moquito repellant. I'm not telling the cowboy that he might has some funky cow manure recipe thats sure to work. I think I'll take my chances and just itch for a while!
TV TUESDAY
1. Who is your favorite stand-up comedian of all time?
Has to be Robin Williams. The guy could stand in front of me dead and I would probably still laugh!
2. Which one could you do without? (Not your type of humor, or just plain stupid!)
Richard priers.....get the uncontrollable urge to smack him upside the head!
3. Which comedian do you think has gone on to have a great career aside from doing stand-up?
There are a few...Robin Williams, Jerry sinefeld, Steve Martin.
~Bonus~ If you went to a comedy club on amateur night, and they gave you some jokes and a microphone, would you go onstage?
No because there aren't enough rotten tomatoes in the world to throw at me! I really suck ( blow goats even) at telling jokes. Somehow I always manage to kill them no matter HOW funny they are!
Great TV Tuesday this week Issie . Oh and I don't think I really need any more sleep but my doctor does! Maybe the craziness is getting too pronounced!

So much for sleep and other nighttime ramblings.
Well this week I've not been sleeping much again except for at the wrong time of day. On thursday I slept for most of the day. It came in handy because I finally got my bike fixed. The cowboy that lives upstairs helped me to fix the tire and we all went for a bike ride almost down to the river. The hills on the way back up almost killed me with the child in the trailer on the back but I survived and am still here to tell the tale. It was a beautiful night out yesterday and we sat outside for hours chatting and the child curled up on whoevers lap was more comfy at ant given moment.
Today was anothe work day from hell with a huge ass order a huge prep list and not enough hours in the day for both. Somehow it all got done and I'm not sure how. All I know is that now I AM tired. I've had a 2 hour nap already and am ready to go back to sleep. I've got laundry in the washer the house looks like aminor bomb has exploded and the child is whiny. Makes for a great night. It's definetly going to be an early night tonight. Lets just hope I can sleep!

TV TUESDAY
I finally got to do this on a Tuesday! Okay so it's 4 am and I'm WIDE awake and have been since 3am! So here goes.
1. Who is your favorite (past or present) TV cop?
Has to be Inspector Morse. I absolutly love this show and it's an English one set in and around oxford. I have the box set of the 12 books that the series was based on and they are my prized possessions!
2. Which TV cop do you think was the most crooked, or the most inept?
The most inept has to be The cop from Poirot. He was always off on a totally different tangent from the rest of the world and had the strangest ideas of how people could have done things (yes I know thats another one from a book)
3. Which TV show had the best ensemble cast of police officers?
Inspector Morse again. A whole cast of hotties to drool over! Including the late John Thaw mmmmmm yummy!
~Bonus~ You need to hire a bodyguard for yourself. Which TV cop do you choose?
I would choose Lewis Inspector Morses sidekick. Young and fit and VERY hot!! He can come protect me ANYTIME!!
So I don't think I'm going back to bed this morning at all I guess I'm maybe up for the day. I haven't been this awake for quite a while!! I have a lot of things on my mind most of which can't be blogged about here. My life seems to have splintered off quite neatly into different compartment recently and so now I'm spring cleaning one drawer at a time!
Think I'll spring clean my house too. What time is too early to vaccum??

WHAT A WEEKEND!!
So the weekend started out not TOO bad. Fridays food order wasn't too big and I had a helper. Woohoo. Then the boss walked in .......in a bad mood.....with a killer hangover! Not good! So after skirting around him most of the day I got out in good time. The Killer for the weekend was Saturday. I got to work and the opener wasn't there. The boss walked in and immediatly got his pissed off face on. Fearless leader came in joined in the pissy fest. The rest of us set operation tiptoe into effect and avoided them at all costs. As the day wore on the pissyness increased as the the ripple tiptoe effect! The I got blamed for bending the bosses office key! This was somehow my fault because my own key is bent (see a previous post where I dropped my key in a snow bank and drove over it!).
Sunday I woke up to an epiphany at 5am and couldn't move for half an hour until the voices had stopped informing me of where I'm going and what I should be doing (yes I'm well aware I'm crazy-it's okay the doctors medicated me!), fearless leader was in a better mood and the bosses mommy and daddy came to visit (related to the pissy mood-not sure) and he gave his daddy a tour of the kitchen. Let me just state her and now the phrase a chip off the old block does NOT do them justice. They have exactly the same personality!
So we come to today. It's Monday and I'm up having breakfast and people I haven't talked to for a while start popping up on my msn. Not bad I get rid of them and jump in the shower. As soon as I get out my mummy phones. Not a bad thing but I'm currently trying to run into work so I can show my boss how to make my sandwich and he's leaving in 30 mins.
I should let you guys know thatbI won to represent our store at regionals with my sandwich. I was supposed to go myself but my boss was already going to Calgary and figured I really didn't want to drive three hours one way for a half hour contest. So instead he's doing it for me. I couldn't have gone today anyway i had to go to a Drs. appointment for the child. She is know going to be medicated to help her focus at school and reach her full potential. I came home phoned my mum back phoned my friend to tell her whats going on then phoned the ex to tell him whats going on. By this time it was end of school and I ended up speeding all the way to the school to pick up the child. Then it was speed to her OT appointment! After that I finally manage to put my paycheque in the bank (I got paid on wed!) gave the child her allowance and went to the dollar store for her to spend it. She is now the proud owner of a snake named hugs and kissees! Then off we went to staples for some new sharpies for me ( gotta have the girlie colours-it drives the bosses nuts heehee) to the grocery store and THEN to walmart to get me a new bike seat. Stopped off at the ex's on the way home to pick up the bike trailer (noticed lateron that we've got a flat tire) and then got home for supper. We had sandwiches for supper because I really didn't feel like cooking after all that!! Now I'm really ready for bed !

I Luuurve my body!!
I love being a women sometimes and yes this post is going to be HEAVY on the sarcasm. Sometimes I almost envy those women that get cramps, bloating, pms any warning at all it that time of the month. It's sure as hell beats getting the SURPRISE guess what day we've picked this month!
This easter week is not going too bad. Its been vaguely busy at work at odd times and the child has been doing a tour of the sitters. Last night she had a friend sleepover and its weird having a different child here. The child is always so over the top and her friend is very quiet. It's so much like me and my friends. I'm the one thats over the top and they get dragged along with me! It so strange watching her and seeing me as I am and was and honestly I'm quite sccared for her. We are way too much alike. Someone said something yesterday about an apple and a tree!

So its been a week
Well its been a week since my last update and honestly not much exciting is going on in the chefs world. The weather is improving slowly and just when we break out the shorts and tee's it throws in a cold day to catch you off guard.
The kids are off school this week which makes it a busy week for me. Ferrying the child around to sitters and working twice as hard to get out a soon as possible whist been so busy because everyone is off work.
I'm just soo tired these days and don't know wheree the energy comes from some days.
I was going to play monday madness but looked at the q's and my brain just went blah!

Monday Madness (yes I know it Tuesday)
So I'm behind a day. I've not been doing so good these past few days in lots of pain so haven't been on the computer much.
So monday madness
What makes your country special?
My country is still England even though I have been here in Canada for a long while. What makes England special? We're a special breed of people surrounded by water and very proud.
What makes your hometown special?
My hometime is growing in recent years but still hangs onto its history. A king was killed in the castle there and there are 2 candy factories in the town. On saturdays they make black liquorice and the air is so thick with the smell you can tast black liquorice in the back of your throat! MMMMmmmmm.
What makes your neighbourhood special?
I just moved recently and I love this neighbourhood more than my last one. I'm really close to the park and closer to the childs school. Also One block over we have a beautiful view of the river.
And your loved ones-What is it about them?
There is no-one quite like my child to come up with the things she does. She has a great imagination and has the ability to amuse herself with absolutly no toys for hours on end!
And finally you- What is unique about you?
There is NO-ONE like me. I have the amazing ability to blow your mind with my craziness and I'm so unpredictable I on't even know what I'm going to do next sometimes. (drives my bosses nuts heehee) But I'm so loveable that everyone likes me!!
Maybe I'll get around to TV Tuesday tomorrow. I need to go get ready for work and see how long I last.

It's 2am I'm freakin' starvin'
This week has been too weird and too bad to blog but here I am on a saturday nigh blogging away. Not just any saturday night either the only night of the year that I reallly should be sleeping because I lose an hour of that precious sleep stuff.
Today I pulled another 12 hour no break no sit down no eat shift. Not fun. I was so wiped by the end of the day I managed to make myself a cup of tea and drive home. I phoned lobo to let her know I was still alive and then crashed. HARD.
So now it's 2 am I woke up 1/2 an hour ago just starvin', I actually woke up drooling and dreaming of food. No I wasn't snoring that was my stomach yelling at me for food. So off I toddle in my beautiful car to A&W. I realise that most of you that visit this blog won't know what A&W is. Guys you are missing out.A&W is a better BK or McD's. S I'm sitting here in the middle of the night eating a mozza burger, onion rings,apple pie all washed down with hot chocolate.
Note to self: next time you pull a 12 hour, eat before you go home. NO MATTER WHAT!!!!
Also for any males that stop by. Do they teach you guys from little on.....if you want a woman to do anything for you pout and give her the puppy eyes....she'll melt like ice cream on a hot day.
I can just see it. Here us girls get the visit from the tampax lady with the wonders of womanhoodand the boys are in the classroom getting this lecture. See this is why we have PMS. Forget the pre-menstrual sydrom that we all think it means......what it really means is Puppy-eyes Must Stop!! Ever been given the puppy eyes when you have PMS??? No??? thought not. It's our way of righting the world!
Oh and if you're wondering yes the 12 hours were spent in the kitchen surrounded by boys!!
